The future of the traditional sport falconry and
hunting with falcons depends on the breeding of the
noble birds of prey and the state of those species. Baron
Nicolaus von Pölnitz has thus been fighting for many
years to protect and maintain the populations of wild
falcons which have become increasingly threatened
with extinction as a result of environmental damage
and the destruction of their natural habitats.
